## calculate the number of days based on a five day week

I want to create an excel speadsheet, that has a date from and date to field that will calculate the number of days based on a five day week.
Can anyone help?

## Keys to the Problem calculate the number of days based on a five day week

If A1 contains the DateFrom and A2 contains the DateTo fileds, try

=NETWORKDAYS(A1,A2)

From the Excel Help:
=================
NETWORKDAYS function:
Returns the number of whole working days between start_date and end_date.
Working days exclude weekends and any dates identified in holidays.
Use NETWORKDAYS to calculate employee benefits that accrue based on the number of days worked during a specific
term.
Syntax
NETWORKDAYS(start_date,end_date,holidays)
Important  Dates should be entered by using the DATE function, or as results of other formulas or functions.
For example, use DATE(2008,5,23) for the 23rd day of May, 2008.
Problems can occur if dates are entered as text.
Start_date   is a date that represents the start date.
End_date   is a date that represents the end date.
Holidays   is an optional range of one or more dates to exclude from the working calendar, such as state and federal holidays and floating holidays.
The list can be either a range of cells that contains the dates or an array constant (array:
Used to build single formulas that produce multiple results or that operate on a group of arguments that are arranged in rows and columns.
An array range shares a common formula; an array constant is a group of constants used as an argument.)
of the serial numbers that represent the dates.

Open Action Center by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, and then, under System and Security, clicking Review your computer's status.

Update and run your antivirus software. Windows doesn't come with antivirus software, but Action Center can often monitor the antivirus software that you or your computer manufacturer have installed.

## BSOD at least a few times every day

My computer gets the blue screen of death at least a few times a day now, with increasing frequency.
It reboots immediately afterwards and then works like normal until the next crash.
The STOP code is: 0x0000007F (0x0000000000000008, 0x0000000080050031,
00000000000406F8, 0xFFFFF800036A183F).
It all began when I installed Spotify a week ago.
I'm not sure whether that's the source of the problem.
I tried to restore the system to a time before I installed Spotify but curiously there was only one restore point available and it was created a few days after the Spotify install.
I tried to restore it to that time and the restore process failed.
It sounds like another user had a similar problem here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/my-computer-crashes-and-gets-the-blue-screen-at/2d9d6c66-06f3-4926-a03d-fcb287359589 However, my computer literacy
is not advanced enough to see if the same thing is causing my computer to crash.
Here are some details about my operating system:
Windows 7
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500 CPU @ 3.30GHz 3.60 GHz
RAM: 16 GB

The computer is probably about 6 months old.

You can view my dump files here: http://sdrv.ms/13Xx9ew

Is anyone able to help me identify the problem? I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks,
Isabel

## Solutions to the Problem BSOD at least a few times every day

Isabel

Only one of these two was from May (the other from early April) and that crash was related to memory corruption.  In order to rule out RAM and find the offending driver please run these two tests.

*Dont forget to upload any further DMP files (especially those when verifier is running)

*If you are overclocking anything reset to default before running these tests.
In other words STOP!!!   If you dont know what this means you probably arent
1-Memtest.
*Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program.
http://www.memtest.org
*Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.
*Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.
*Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.
Any errors are indicative of a memory problem.
If a known good stick fails in a motherboard slot it is probably the slot.

2-Driver verifier
Using Driver Verifier is an iffy proposition.
Most times it'll crash and it'll tell you what the driver is.

*But sometimes it'll crash and won't tell you the driver.
If you can't get to Safe Mode, then you'll have to resort to offline editing of the registry to disable Driver Verifier.
*Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Win7 Startup Repair feature).

Here is the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
*Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.
*Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen.
*Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly.
The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out.
If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least
36 hours of continuous operation.
*If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
*If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.

## Borders automatically close between pages

Windows 7, Office 2010, Word document:   I often put one border ('box') around 2 or 3 consecutive paragraphs to show that they are related.  If automatic pagination happens to fall in the midst of a paragraph, no problem:  The box stays open, i.e., no
border at the bottom of one page or the top of the next, correctly indicating the the contents of the box continue from one page to the next.  The PROBLEM occurs when automatic pagination breaks *between* consecutive paragraphs in a single box, in which case Word
closes the boxes (at the bottom of one page and the top of the next), making it seem like two discrete boxes when it's meant to 'read' as a single continuing box.  Any way to adjust the settings to do this?

## Blurry programs on Windows 8.1

Hi,
I have had windows 8.1 for a couple months now, and am now experiencing some new issues regarding blurry screen text.
I had these issues with Google Chrome (fixed them), and now Office 365 and other Windows programs like control panel, file navigator window
are now with blurry text.
I noticed this after disconnecting from a external screen via HDMI, so that might have something to do with it but I cannot figure it out.
Any help appreciated thanks

## Anwsers to the Problem Blurry programs on Windows 8.1

Could be that the disable is stretching out the image to fill the screen size.  Make sure your DPI setting is at 100% for the clearest image.
Right-click your desktop wallpaper, choose Screen Resolution, then click make text and other items larger or smaller to reach your DPI settings.  Here, make sure it's set to 100% normal size, not enlarged.

1. Access the files on your computer via MY COMPUTER
2. Under the C: drive, access the WINDOWS folder
5. If you are unable to delete these files, open the command prompt (CMD) as the administrator, and type "net stop wuauserv" into the CMD prompt window. Press ENTER. This should allow you to delete the files from step 4.
6. Once the files are deleted, open and run the CMD as the administrator and type "wuauclt.exe /updatenow". Press ENTER.

## BSOD ntoskrnl.exe +14dca0 Windows 8.1 Pro

Hey Community

I build myself a new computer last month and it was working like a charm.
But since 2 weeks ago I get random BSOD with an WHEA_UNCORRECTABEL_ERROR almost every day I try to work with it.
The Bluescreens seem to occur without any real pattern, Sometimes I
get them while working in Photoshop, then while playing Borderlands, sometimes when I watch videos on the Internet and once the whole system crashed when I tried to install an earlier version of DirectX.
I still have the warranty from my parts which is why
it would be awesome if you could help me find out what part is causing the BSOD so I can replace it.
THE MACHINE :
CPU: Intel i7 4770k
RAM: Crucial 16GB kit (8GBx2), 240-pin DIMM, DDR3 PC3-12800 Memory Module
GPU: PALIT Geforce GTX 770
Mainboard: ASUS Z87 PRO
PSU: CORSAIR CX600M
SSD: SAMSUNG 840 PRO 256GB
Drive: PIONEER BLU RAY DRIVE
WHAT I DID SO FAR:
Updated to the latest Windows Version.
Updated my Graphiccard drivers.
Installed the latest firmware for my SSD
I ran memetest86+ for a whole night 10 passes no Error.
I made a stress test with BurnIN for every component avaiable no Error.
I ran a Chkdsk without any Error.
I ran Scannow and it told me there was no Error.
ASUS AI SUITE Software "fixed" my PC performance but I set everything back to standard in the BIOS and deinstalled everthing of the software, erased remaining bits with a cleaning tool and manually removed the folder and the planned schedules that kept starting
the programm.
Eventhough my hardware indicates that this could be due to OC, I must stress that I didn't change anything from the given presets.
I ran Verify Driver but nothing really changed.
You can find my Minidmps here. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ou5nexqqk1dvuml/HmG78cPCNE
Thank you for the help in advance,

## Keys to the Problem BSOD ntoskrnl.exe +14dca0 Windows 8.1 Pro

JH
These are called BCC124 and are hardware related.  SInce yours refers to "genuine Intel" I would start by running the CPU stress tests.

Stop 0x124 is a hardware error
If you are overclocking try resetting your processor to standard settings and see if that helps.
If you continue to get BSODs here are some more things you may want to consider.
This is usually heat related, defective hardware, memory or even processor though it is"possible" that it is driver related (rare).

Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try
Synopsis:
A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.
Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress.

Generic "Stop 0x124" Troubleshooting Strategy:

1) Ensure that none of the hardware components are overclocked. Hardware that is driven beyond its design specifications - by overclocking - can malfunction in unpredictable ways.
2) Ensure that the machine is adequately cooled.
If there is any doubt, open up the side of the PC case (be mindful of any relevant warranty conditions!) and point a mains fan squarely at the motherboard.
That will rule out most (lack of) cooling issues.
3) Update all hardware-related drivers: video, sound, RAID (if any), NIC...
anything that interacts with a piece of hardware.
It is good practice to run the latest drivers anyway.
4) Update the motherboard BIOS according to the manufacturer's instructions and clear the CMOS.
Their website should provide detailed instructions as to the brand and model-specific procedure.
5) Rarely, bugs in the OS may cause "false positive" 0x124 events where the hardware wasn't complaining but Windows thought otherwise (because of the bug).
At the time of writing, Windows 7 is not known to suffer from any such defects, but it is nevertheless important to always keep Windows itself updated.
6) Attempt to (stress) test those hardware components which can be put through their paces artificially.
The most obvious examples are the RAM and HDD(s).
For the RAM, use the 3rd-party memtest86 utility to run many hours worth of testing.
(6-8 passes to stress the ram out)
For hard drives, check whether CHKDSK /R finds any problems on the drive(s), notably "bad sectors".
Unreliable RAM, in particular, is deadly as far as software is concerned, and anything other than a 100% clear memory test result is cause for concern.
Unfortunately, even a 100% clear result from the diagnostics utilities does not guarantee that the RAM is
free from defects - only that none were encountered during the test passes.
7) As the last of the non-invasive troubleshooting steps, perform a "vanilla" reinstallation of Windows: just the OS itself without any additional applications, games, utilities, updates, or new drivers - NOTHING AT ALL that is
not sourced from the Windows 7 disc.
Should that fail to mitigate the 0x124 problem, jump to the next steps.
If you run the "vanilla" installation long enough to convince yourself that not a single 0x124 crash has occurred, start installing updates and applications slowly, always pausing between successive additions long enough to get a feel for whether the machine
is still free from 0x124 crashes.
Should the crashing resume, obviously the very last software addition(s) may be somehow linked to the root cause.
If stop 0x124 errors persist despite the steps above, and the hardware is under warranty, consider returning it and requesting a replacement which does not suffer periodic MCE events.
Be aware that attempting the subsequent hardware troubleshooting steps may, in some cases, void your warranty:
8) Clean and carefully remove any dust from the inside of the machine.
Reseat all connectors and memory modules.
Use a can of compressed air to clean out the RAM DIMM sockets as much as possible.
9) If all else fails, start removing items of hardware one-by-one in the hope that the culprit is something non-essential which can be removed.
Obviously, this type of testing is a lot easier if you've got access to equivalent components in order to perform swaps.
Should you find yourself in the situation of having performed all of the steps above without a resolution of the symptom, unfortunately the most likely reason is because the error message is literally correct
- something is fundamentally wrong with the machine's hardware.
