Computer goes to sleep when HDMI monitor is turned off
I am running a Windows 7 system as a home theater PC (HTPC), through which I have a TV tuner, hold all my stored movies / photos / music / etc.
The monitor for the PC is an LCD TV which is connected to the computer via an HDMI port which is part of my
The system had been working fine until last month when my hard drive crashed.
I couldn't find my original Windows 7 install discs, so I had to buy all new software (Windows 7 Home Premium) as well as a new hard drive.
Now, whenever the TV is turned off, the computer goes to sleep.
This is a big problem because (1) I want to be able to access media stored on this computer from other PC's / devices in my house, but can't do so when it is asleep, and (2) it misses recording
shows when it is asleep.
I have changed all the power options such that the computer should not go to sleep or hibernate at all, I have updated all the video drivers, and nothing seems to help.
Any ideas would be appreciated!
The system I am running is:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Processor: AMD Athlon II X3
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H
Onboard Video Chipset: ATI Radeon HD 4200
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
