Default Email Account

I've never had so many questions using the internet and having my email account!  Why do I have to join Windows Live in order to set my att.net yahoo email account as my preference?  I'm clueless on this and it seems to be more and more difficult.  Please
help me so I can click on an email addrss and correspond while I'm on the net - instead of having to copy/paste it and go back to my mail!

If you want to use AT&T's webmail (i.e.
via your browser), you don't need Windows Live Mail.  In fact AT&T will tell you that they don't support Windows Live Mail.  You CAN use it if you want to, but by no means do you HAVE to.  The last time I checked,
they do have instructions on their web site on how to set it up if you choose to go that way.

Machine Throttling

• Go to the Start button.
• In the Search box, type "regedit" (without quotes) and press Enter.
• Look for the following registry key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions".
• On the right window pane, delete the subkey: "Machine Throttling".
• Restart your computer.
