Can no longer move worksheets to other open workbooks

We had another collection of Windows updates auto-loaded last night, and today I can no longer move worksheets from one workbook to another.  In the past, I've been able to select Move -or just drag the worksheet to another open book. 

Now, I cannot drag at all, and if I select the Move/Copy option for a worksheet, the only workbooks I'm offered are the book I'm working in -or New Book.   In other words- the other open books are not available as Move-to options.

Most likely your source and target workbooks are opened in two separate instances of Excel.
which cannot communicate.
Close one instance and open both books in the remaining instance.

Machine Throttling

• Click the Start button.
• In the Search box, type "regedit" (without quotes) and press Enter.
• Look for the following registry key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions".
• On the right window pane, delete the subkey: "Machine Throttling".
• Reboot your computer.
