I'm using word 2007 - trying to create a custom label template for labels which are 2 x 2 on A4 (4 per sheet) with a 2cm gap between rows.
Because there's a 2cm gap between the rows, i make the vertical pitch 2cm bigger than the label height. This works fine to start with and puts a blank 2cm row on the table, to give the required spacing. however as soon as i try to edit the custom label
size and re apply, (click ok to the msg about deleting the contents of your document) the row between the labels dissapears!!
It's still there however becasue if you go to tables >properties > rows and move through the rows, it still has 3 rows, at the sizes you'd expect.
what's more, if i turn formatting marks on, the row suddenly re-appears! but it doesnt print and it wont stay even if you put text/carriage returns in it.
Is this a bug or am i doing something stupid?
Very frustrating because to edit the label setup i have to create a new docutment every time and link to data source etc etc.
