ATC voices in Flight Sim X running Windows 7

I purchased Flight Sim X Gold Edition for a new computer running Windows 7.  Everything works fine except the voices of ATC and the pilot.
I hear the intro music and engine sounds.  Also the voice of the person in the missions is also missing.
All the
settings appear to be correct within Flight Sim.
What should I be changing to get the voices to speak to me?
