Auto update programs fail to enter the administrator privilege and cause system hang
First time I noticed this problem was when utorrent trying to update.
After downloaded the update and shutdowm it (by the uTorrent itself), the administrator privilege requiring box did not show up (which should be appear automatically to install the update).
So I tried to start uTorrent manually (double click) and found that it did not start.
After this, I could not start any porgrams, even task manager (ctrl+alt+del did not work), and system was not respond to any of the system shut down (include log off, switch
user, hibernate, sleep, shut down) methods I used.
Existing programs which were running at that time could not be closed and behaiver strangely (one of the copying window display !ControlName as Name and not responding to close, cancel and did not progress
I had to shut down the power supply to restart the computer.
After this, I manually downloaded the uTorrent install file from IE and it excuted correctly.
However, then I found that everytime use the software update functionality (include uTorrent,
Firefox and etc), the system is go to hang like this.
I could not remember when this started to happen, but it should be less than 6months.
I am guess one of the win 7 update is causing this problem, and the problem is about programs getting administrator privilege by themselves.
Could anyone help me on this, because this caused me lots of trouble, as some programs always update automatically.
I found some other guys have the similar problem when install new porgram:
