Hi,
I have an excel file with a column of dates copied from notepad.
The dates are numbers, but they appear as 10411 or 123010, for example.
What is the easiest way to convert these to 01/04/11 and 12/30/10?

Select the cells with those numbers, select the Data tab, then click the Text To Columns icon in the Data Tools panel, click Next twice on the dialog box that appears...
then, select "Date" in the "Column data format" section and make sure the drop down
box has MDY selected, then click the Finish button.
