Streets and Trips 2011 give error, Your registry settings for this application were not copied correctly.

Installation of Microsoft Streets and Trips 2011 Win7 version on my new HP Desktop says it is installed.  However, when trying to open it, I get this response:  "Your registry settings for this application were not copied correctly.  To correct these settings,
run Setup again for this application from the location you originally installed it."  It won't let me open the program, even after i've tried the installation from the DVD disc and from Microsoft Download Center several times.  It never asked me for the Product
Key code during the installation.  What can I do?
