Thanks for your help- I managed to find the missing file - by chance  really this is what I used :
    

Click to open Backup and Restore.
Click Change settings.
Select where you want to save your backup, and then click Next.
Click Let me choose, and then click Next.
Clear the check box next to the library containing files that are saved in remote locations.
For example, if you have pictures saved in shared folders on a network, clear the check box next to the Pictures library.
Double-click Computer, and then navigate to the location of the library.
Libraries are saved under OS (C:)\Users\.
For example, to find the Pictures library, double-click
Computer, double-click OS (C:) (your disk might be labeled differently), double-click
Users, double-click a user name, and then double-click Pictures.
Select the check boxes next to the folders containing files that are saved on your computer, and then click
Next.
Click Save changes and run backup.
