Could be heat related - try using a small fan to blow into the air intakes to see if that helps.
Clean out the dustbunnies from the vents.

This sounds like hardware so if the above does not help then you probably need the help of a
real computer shop (not leeks and peeks at a Best Buy or other Big Box Stores) or the System
maker's Support.

had on this machine including those you uninstalled (they leave remnants behind which can cause
strange issues).

Using Windows troubleshooter:

• Click on Search on Charm bar and type Troubleshooting. Click on the very first option.
• A new window will open. Click View all from the left pane.
• Scroll down to the bottom and click on Windows update.
• Troubleshooter window for Windows update will pop up. Click on NEXT. It may ask you for administrative permission.
• The troubleshooter will automatically detect problems and fix it.
