Debug Assertion Failure

I get a Debug Assertion Failure when I select a new tab on IE 8. 
Prog: C|ProgramFiles|InternetExplorer|iexplore.exe  
File |X1IEHook.cpp
Expression:  ((HRESULT)(hr)>=0
I can choose to [Abort Retry or Ignore]. 
If I ignore I can continue to work online. 
If I retry IE will stop working and will close down.  Help? Joe

Check whether your able to browse without add-ons in Internet Explorer correctly\.
To do that Click on Start button and in search box type in, Internet Explorer with no add-ons and press Enter key.
