100% CPU utilization by "system" process shortly after startup.
Just upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium from XP on PC built with ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless addition motherboard with AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual core processor and 4 GIG of DDR2 6400 memory. Western Dig.
ATA 320 GIG for C: and Z: is SLI SATA drive.
Very shortly after logon the "system" process pegs at 100% and stays there, system is not usable. If I try to do anything else I get a BLUE Screen and down it goes. In safe mode all device drivers report as working properly with current drivers and the
system runs OK. I have tried to disable devices to locate the issue, but to no avail.
I am able to run Windows Vista Ultimate (do so now) on same hardware by swaping C: drive.
Any ideas? I need help.
