4GB DDR3 Ram but system showing 2GB usable? why?

i have windows 7 professional SP1 32 bit, with following system configuration
intel core 2 duo 2.98 GHz E7500
DG41WV processor
1 gb grapic card
(2x2) 4gb ram but my system showing 4GB 2GB usable, why?
kindly solve the matter.

Which bit version of Windows 7 do you have? 32 or 64-bit?

If 32-bit, all you will see is 2 - 3.25gb usable because it has a limitation of 4gb addressable, part of which is motherboard resource and video card element..

To be able to see AND use 4gb (actually 3.75 or maybe slightly less), you must be running the 64-bit version..

Manually editing the Windows registry

Caution: Unless you an advanced PC user, please do not edit the Windows registry manually.
